Industrial-Grade Power for Thick Steel Cutting

Oxy-fuel cutting remains one of the most effective methods for processing thick carbon steel and ferrous steel in heavy industrial settings. Depending on the application – like bridges, OEM, utility structures, road work, and ship building – different approaches are used to balance precision, efficiency, and portability. Below are the three most widely used cutting methods in the steel industry, each offering unique advantages for demanding cutting tasks:

Kinetics K5000 XMC Heavy Duty Combination Machine

The Kinetics K5000 XMC is a dual-gantry heavy-duty machine with HPR400XD plasma, beveling, and oxy-fuel cutting, offering a 10’8″ x 78′ cutting area, robotic unloading up to 1,000 lbs, and a 48 HP drill with automatic tool changing for high-capacity plate fabrication.

Messer TMC

The Messer TMC features an HPR400XD plasma system with bevel head and oxy-fuel cutting over an 11′ x 63′ work area. It includes drilling up to 4″ holes in 4″ plate, tapping from 1/2″ to 1-1/4″, a 24-station CAT 50 tool changer, and beveling from 1/2″ to 1-1/2″ plate.

Messer Titan

The Messer Titan features an HPR400XD plasma system with bevel head and five oxy-fuel torches, offering a 10′ x 43′ cutting area. It supports beveling from 1/2″ to 1-1/2″ plate for efficient, high-quality thermal cutting.
